摘 要:Using the information provided by previously found solutions, a new augmented singular transform is developed to change the local basin-barrier structure of the original problem for finding new solutions in an infinite-dimensional space. Then an augmented partial Newton method is proposed to solve the new problem on the solution set. Mathematical justification of the new formulation and method is established. Details on algorithm implementation are presented. Numerical results for two very different variational PDE problems are obtained and displayed with their profile-contour plots and data on convergence and errors.
