报告题目: On semi-linear elliptic equations with negative exponent

　　Abstract: In this talk, we will talk about a parabolic equation as well as the corresponding elliptic problem with negative exponent, which is motivated by a simplified Micro-Electromechanical Systems (MEMS) device model. We extend or improve the qualitative and quantitative results for the MEMS modeling to a very general setting, which help us to understand more about the influence of the profile on the pull-in voltage and the quenching phenomenon. We show also how the boundary decay of the membrane works on the solutions and pull-in voltage.
